Like many students, when I first heard about CUC, my initial question was: “What is it?” During my final year of Medical School, I joined Warwick CUC in search of a quiet and reliable place to study. Outside of my accommodation, there were limited options available, so having access to a dedicated study space made a huge difference.
The Centre itself was bright, spacious, and equipped with everything a tired, burnt-out student staring down the barrel of a midnight assignment they haven’t started yet could possibly need (yes…snacks and caffeine). What really made my experience special, though, were the people. Lorna and Alyce were incredibly welcoming, supportive, and kind. They were always happy to help, offer encouragement, or simply have a friendly chat. Their warmth created a sense of belonging that made my time in Warwick all the more special.
I’m deeply grateful for the environment they fostered, and I can’t recommend Warwick CUC highly enough. If you’re in the region, I encourage you to stop by, whether it’s to study or just to say hello. They will be more than happy to welcome you!
